Zachary Stuart Filhiol, age 24, passed away on January 20, 2023. He was born on December 14, 1998 in Monroe, Louisiana to Charles and Freedom (Sunny) Filhiol. Zachary graduated from Ouachita Parish High School on May 9, 2017 and then married his high school sweetheart, Nola Laurette-Filhiol, on June 10, 2017 at his grandparents’ home in Monroe, Louisiana.
Zachary was a loving husband, son, brother, and friend. He had a genuine heart, and his personality was one of a kind. He loved music and enjoyed playing video games with his friends.
Zachary is survived by his wife Nola, his mother Freedom (Michael Shirley), his father Charles, brother Gabriel, sister Aurora, sister Andryana, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather John Filhiol, grandmother Georgia Filhiol, and grandmother Carol Stuart.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at Mulhearn Funeral Home from 9:00-10:45 AM. A Memorial graveside burial will follow at St. Matthews’ Cemetery with Father Kevin Mues at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his wife Nola.
