Zachary Lee Martin

Zachary Lee Martin, beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, suddenly passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the age of 29.
Born on September 28, 1994, in Atlanta, Georgia, Zach brought immense joy and love to the lives of those around him. His untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends that cannot be filled.
He was a graduate of Duluth High School, Class of 2013, where he made cherished memories and lasting friendships. He was a talented swimmer and excelled in the sport, being ranked as the top swimmer in his age group for the 50-meter butterfly stroke at the age of 10. His dedication and passion for swimming left a lasting impression on his teammates and coaches.
Outside of the pool, Zach found solace and joy in nature. He loved boating, hiking, water skiing, and jet skiing, always seeking new adventures and exhilarating experiences. His love for the beach was unmatched, and he cherished the moments spent with his family building sandcastles, splashing in the waves, and basking in the warmth of the sun. The lake house held a special place in his heart, where he could truly embrace the tranquility of the water and create lasting memories with loved ones.
Zach's infectious smile and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a zest for life that was evident in his interactions with others. Whether it was lending a helping hand, offering words of encouragement, or simply brightening someone's day, Zachary's kindness and compassion knew no bounds. His vibrant spirit and unwavering love for his family were the driving forces in his life.
Preceding Zach in death was his paternal grandparents, James and Ruth Martin, as well as his uncle, Farron Wisdom. Above all, Zach adored his family. His love for his wife, Evelin, knew no bounds, and they shared a bond that served as an inspiration to many. His parents, Phyllis and James Martin, were a constant source of support and strength throughout his life, and he held them in the highest regard. Zachary cherished his relationship with his brother and sister-in-law, Beau and Kaedy, and his nephews, Connor and Parker, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. His maternal grandparents, Laverne and Jerry Truett, held a special place in his heart, and he valued the wisdom and love she imparted upon him.
A Celebration of Zachary's life will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory with Dr. Mike McCullar officiating. Inurnment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will gather with friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
Zachary Lee Martin will be remembered for his infectious smile, his zest for life, and his unwavering love for family and friends. He has left an indelible mark on the lives he touched, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
