Zachary Philip Reynolds

Zachary Philip Reynolds, known affectionately as Zak, passed away on September 5, 2024, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 36. Born on July 10,1988, in Akron, Ohio, he was a beloved son to Stacy Piendel (Todd) and Phil Reynolds (Lisa).
Zak graduated from Old Dominion University and went on to establish a successful career as a Technical Writer at Liebherr. Beyond his professional life, Zak was passionate about a variety of hobbies. He enjoyed attending concerts, relaxing on the beach at 77th street, and engaging in woodworking projects with his beloved wife, Brooke. He also cherished time spent playing with his dogs, Groot and Wellington, building Lego sets, and playing frisbee with friends.
Zak is survived by his wife, Brooke; his mother, Stacy Piendel (Todd); his father, Phil Reynolds (Lisa); grandmothers Barbara Reynolds and Dorothy Britton; mother-in-law Cindy Phelps; sisters Michaela Piendel and Erica Townsend (Tim); brother Dylan Piendel; nephew Teller Townsend; and many other family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Philip.
A Celebration of Life Memorial for Zak will be held on Friday, September 13th, at 4 pm at Oman Funeral Home, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. A reception will follow at Big Ugly Brewing at 5:30 pm. We encourage you to wear your favorite band t-shirt or casual attire. In honor of Zak's wishes, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the FxCK Cancer Foundation.
Zak will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and spirited generosity.
