Barbara M. Walters, 68, of Tunkhannock, passed away on Saturday Dec. 4, 2021, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Meshoppen on Feb. 5, 1953, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Adams Walters.
She was a 1971 graduate
of Tunkhannock Area
High School.
Barb loved spending time with her family and loved doing genealogy research. She was 'The keeper of the family tree.' She was a historian for TASD class of 1971 and kept binders of her research on former classmates. These binders are going to be donated to Wyoming County Historical Society so all her classmates can enjoy them.
Barbara is survived by her aunt Lois Testa; several cousins; and most importantly cats: Keiser, Parker, Hannah, and Scruffy; and dogs: Meka and Mila.
Family and friends are invited to attend Barb's funeral service which will be on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
