Daniel F. Lins, age 65, of McHenry, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018, after a long battle, he is at peace.
He was born June 15, 1953 in Reedsburg, WI to Victor and Mavis (Blank) Lins. On June 28, 1981 he married Sharon Snelten and they had 37 wonderful years together.
Dan was a 1971 graduate of Cary Grove High School. Dan and his family resided in McHenry county for 31 years. He was a co-owner of Hi-Performance Collision Repair in Fox River Grove. Dan was a hot rod enthusiast and enjoyed fishing, but his passion, his love, was riding his motorcycle and traveling the roads of Wisconsin.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Sharon; son, Frank Lins; daughter, Carrie Mae Lins; his beloved mother, Mavis Lins; two brothers, Richard Lins, Jerry Lins; two sisters, Janice (Dan) Cartwright, Mary Lins; five brothers-in-law, Peter (Lora) Snelten, Jeff (Cindy) Snelten, Scott (Cheri) Snelten, Mark (Jan) Snelten, Andy Snelten; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, and he will be reunited with two of his best friends, Johnny and Guy, the three of them are riding together again.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 11 a.m. until ? at All Inn Pub & Grub, 1502 Jones Avenue, Holiday Hills, IL 60051.In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorials in Dan's name to the charity of your choice.

When I think back knowing Danny I'd have to say the re-building of the Road Vikings M.C. was one of the best and fun times in my life. We wrote letters back & forth when I went out-of-state for awhile, try finding someone who would do that today. This is my last letter bro. I love & miss you. Hope it's true that we'll ride again someday. I'm happy our lives ran together for awhile. Rest in Peace , Deke P.S. Please help the Blackhawks if you can.
