MAGDALENA DANILOVICH "LENA" (NEE FELLINGER) SCHERERVILLE, IN
Magdalena Danilovich "Lena" ( nee Fellinger) age 85 late of Schererville and formerly of Calumet City and Chicago. Lena was born October 3, 1927 in the village of Calma in the municipality of Sremska Mitrovica, Vojvodina, Serbia, the former Jugoslavija. She is survived by her son, Daniel Danilovich; niece, Monica Bloomquist; nephew, Richard Fellinger; sister-in-law, Maria Fellinger and family in Germany. Preceded in death by her husband, Vjekoslav; parents: Frank and Eva Fellinger, brother, Peter Fellinger. Lena was a member of St. Simeon Mirotocivi Church in Chicago. In her youth she loved to dance. She was a skilled seamstress and spoke three languages: Germany, Serbian and English. She was well known by hundreds of friends because of her active participation and devotion to her sons band "The United Serbs". Lena was fondly remembered for her love for animals, mainly cats, her beautiful needle point (Gobleni) creations and her love for flowers. She was a skilled cook and well known for making the "Best" tacos in the land. Lena will be dearly missed by many people.
