Paul Joseph Lazar Pennsylvania / Gary, IN Paul Joseph Lazar, died on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 in Rittenhouse Pine Nursing Center, Norristown, PA. He was 67. He was a resident of Blue Bell, PA for the past 20 years, formerly of the Saint Paul, MN area. He was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Ondovich) Lazar. He was born in Gary, IN on October 26, 1937. Paul attended Holy Angels Grade School and Horace Mann High School in Gary, IN. Paul was a graduate of the University of Denver with a Beachelor of Science degree in business administration and also the University of Colorado where he earned his MBA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict with the rank of PFC. He was a former employee of Sperry/Univac/Unisys as a business-planning manager. He was a member of Saint Helena's Roman Catholic Church, Blue Bell. Paul was an avid collector of many minerals and fossils for many years. He was a member of the Leidy Microscopical Society; Lower Bucks County; the Mineralogical Society of PA; and the Delaware Valley Paleontological Society. He is survived by one brother, Reverend Francis Lazar of Highland, IN; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Anthony, John, Alfred and Andrew Lazar. Visitation at St. James Church, 9640 Kennedy Ave., Highland, IN from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Thursday evening, November 11 and 9:30-10:30 AM on Friday, November 12, 2004. Prayer Service at 8:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Friday, November 12th, with Fr. Francis Lazar celebrant. Interment will be Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's name may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, One Plymouth Meeting, Suite 520, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
