MR. MILBURY, WORKING FOR YOU AND MRS. MILBURY IS ONE OF THE MOST CHERISHED WORK MEMORIES I HAVE. WHAT A SENSE OF HUMOR.

I worked for the Mellon family on their yacht, in the early 80's. Mr. Milbury was always gracious, polite, humorous and composed. He mooned me once, wearing boxer shorts, not a bare bum. He loved caviar. I duplicated his special spread. He got after me, via the steward, until the steward notified him the chef had prepared it (me). My Mexican silver ring lies at the bottom of Woods Hole harbor, amid the eel grass; it flew off my finger, in a strong stroke. Working for Morley and Sweet Pea was a very fine experience. When they discharged me (I just didn't have the horsepower), I was given two months severance. That was the premiere job of my career. Adios Mr. Milbury

I only just saw that Lord Morley (as he loved to be called..in a fun way) passed away last month. This saddens me very much but my memories of him will always remain. I was actually their personal chef on the yacht Litchfield Lady..how lucky was I to work for these two wonderful people that treated me with such respect and kindness! I am thinking about Mrs. Milbury today and share her sorrow! You both will always be so special to me..

Morley was very kind and genuine. He loved to laugh and reflect on all the memories of a life well spent. He would always comment fondly on the numerous photos scattered throughout their beautiful home. I feel grateful to have been able to spend time at Long House with Morley, Lady P, their guests and staff. I will miss being called ‘son’.
