Carol Ruth Traub

1950 - 2022

Carol Ruth Traub, 71, passed away January 14, 2022 in Houston, Texas. She was born July 2, 1950 in Bremerhaven, Germany to John Howard Traub and Emily Ruth McGinniss (Traub). She was the oldest of 3 sisters. Carol is survived by her sister Elaine Mary Renola (Traub) and her husband Gary Thomas Renola of Seabrook, Texas, her sister Nancy Marie Traub of Cascade, Montana and her beloved cat Mia.

Carol grew up in Germany with her family where her father served in the Department of Defense Military. She graduated Kaiserslautern American High School (KAHS) in 1968. She moved to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania graduating 1974 from Lock Haven State College with a BS in Elementary Education. Initially Carol was employed as an elementary educator, moving to the Clear Lake area in 1982. Carol was employed in a number of different positions in Houston. Carol moved to the west side of Houston and was employed for eighteen years by Fish Construction, Inc. in Stafford, Texas, as a Controller.

Family and friends of Carol wish to extend sincerest appreciation to the physicians and staff of Houston Methodist Hospital and Houston Methodist West for their caring and concern during the past years.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Houston Methodist Foundation or to the Houston SPCA.

The memorial service will be at Crowder Funeral Homes, 2422 E Broadway St, Pearland, TX on February 5, 2022 at 1pm.
