Predeceased by her parents Anthony 'Gramps' & Philomena Diel, sister Miriam 'Mimi' Diel, sister Vera Dougherty, brother in law Louis Dougherty, sister Rosemary 'Bud' Depp, brother in law George Depp. Survived by: son Robert McKenzie, granddaughter Dorothy McKenzie, grandson Hunter McKenzie, daughter Mary Ellen McKenzie, son in law Lee Mealer, granddaughter Amber Brown, son in law Brad Brown, great grandson Creed, Mealer extended family, Son Brian McKenzie, daughter in law Shelia McKenzie, grandson Anthony McKenzie, great grandson Murdoch, grandson Zachary McKenzie, granddaughter Alexis Tangen, grandson in law Jason, great grandson Wyatt, great grandson Wells, son Scott McKenzie, daughter in law Jackie McKenzie, grandson Samuel McKenzie, granddaughter Kourtney Gallik and grandson in law Stephen Galik, great grandson Jaxson, great grandson Jaryson, great granddaughter Charleigh, great grandson Jakobie and great granddaughter Stevie Jo . As well as nieces, nephews, their children and friends.
Attended St Athanasius through 8th grade in West View, PA. Graduated St Benedicts High School (class of 1948)
Moved around the country, Pittsburgh to Denver CO, Los Angeles CA, Phoenix AZ, Denver CO, Seattle WA, Houston TX, Los Angeles CA, Pittsburgh and back to Texas.
September 18, 2010 was proclaimed Cecilia McKenzie Day by the city of Humble Texas, for her dedication to help her fellow senior citizens.
Cecilia did not want a memorial service and has donated her remains to the Baylor College of Medicine.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donation to your local Hospice organization in her name.
She loved and was loved.
