Coy Varnon Obituary

Coy Glenn Varnon, 57, of Simmons Bottom, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at his residence. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2016, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Coy was born November 21, 1958 in Liberty to parents: John Spruce Varnon, Sr. and Anna Marie Varnon, and was a lifelong resident of the Liberty-Dayton area. He was a graduate of the Dayton High School class of 1977, received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Lamar University, and was co-owner of Liberty Furniture for nearly 30 years. He also enjoyed working on the family farm "Dreamwinds," telling stories, reading, and cooking. Coy will be remembered as an accomplished and beloved husband, dad, and business owner. Coy was preceded in death by his father: John Spruce Varnon, Sr.; and sisters: Fran Krull and Dodie May. He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Tina Hall Varnon of Simmons Bottom; son: Seth Varnon and wife Kimberly of Humble; daughter: Bana Varnon Jobe and husband Cade of Dripping Springs; mother: Anna Marie Varnon of Dayton; brothers: James Varnon and wife Diana of Kingwood, and John Varnon, Jr. and wife Claudette of Bandera; sister: Myrt Krull and husband Bob of Austin; brother-in-law: Bill Krull of Cleveland; Coy and Tina's fur babies: Amos, Miss Priss, Lil AJ, Sox, Shiner, and Pixie Girl; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
