Doris Maxine Hamrick died April 30, 2016 in Webster, Texas. Born Doris Maxine Moore September 1, 1923 in Fort Worth, Texas, and known to family and friends as Maxine or Mackie, she said she was in high school before she knew her name was Doris. She was preceded in death by her husband George Cornelius Hamrick and her son Michael Neel Hamrick. She graduated from Lee High School in Baytown, Texas in 1940, and she lived most of her life in Channelview, Texas. She is survived by a host of family and friends, too many to enumerate in this short space. She was dearly loved and will be sincerely missed. She was a lifelong charter member of Old River Terrace United Methodist Church in Channelview, which her parents helped organize in 1939. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby -Lynchburg Rd. on Sunday May 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held in Sterling-White Funeral home on Monday May 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in Sterling-White Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas 77562.
