I was saddened to learn of Col. Colburn's passing in the Military Officer. He was my boss for three years at Ft. Monroe, VA. I learned much from him as an officer, friend and gentleman. May the Lord bless you as you adjust to life without him. We will all meet again when we gather in heaven.

I had the honor of knowing the Colonel and sharing time together as educators and soldiers. A soft-spoken man of impeccable character was always professional and dedicated to his position, profession, and passions. Rest in Paradise my brother. Thank you for your service and support. God bless the family and I thank them for allowing the Colonel to create a legacy for everyone he met. We regroup in heaven.

RIP Col. Colburn. For all those who knew him, he was a TRUE officer and gentlemen who taught patience, honor, courage, dedication, leadership, all the traits of what makes a person a great man/woman. It was thanks to his guidance that i steered away from wrong doings and gave me so much advise. He will truly be missed. My heart and compassion goes out to his wife and family in this time with prayers of sympathy and healing. At ease Sir, you have done your job.
