Eleanor Victoria Elizabeth Koenig Barberree passed away at the age of 99 on October 20, 2016, in Kingwood, TX. She was the 13th child of Albert and Marie Koenig and was born on December 14, 1916 in Swanville Minnesota. After they sold the Pharmacy, Eleanor worked as a receptionist & book keeper at Methodist Hospital for 15 years and did volunteer work for her church and other charities including food pantry, bereavement committee, meals on wheels, worship preparation, and she enjoyed driving her beloved Pastor Fred Miller around weekly to bring communion to people in their homes when he was no longer able to drive (he was 10 years older than her). She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Edina, MN until 2010 when she moved to Texas. Since then she was a faithful member of Kingwood United Methodist, Kingwood, TX even volunteering at Society of St Stephens.
Eleanor is survived by her 2 sons Daniel & Wife Betsy, and David & Wife Marlene, by grandchildren Joel Smith & husband Kelly, David Barberree & wife Stephanie, Dean Barberree & wife Tisha, Joseph Barberree, Kristina Betz & husband Don, Cindy Adamo & husband Johnny, Jeff Wilson & wife Vicki, Great Grandchildren - Andrea Rackley, Jacob & Jordan Adamo, Andrew, Spencer, Makena & Carly Barberree, Madison, Mason, Megan & Maddox Barberree, Addison & Kennedy Smith, Caroline Wilson, Great-Great Grandchild Ayden Rackley, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester, Minnesota next to her husband Bert. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association which Eleanor faithfully supported.

Love you Grandma B. What an amazing ride you had and such great memories I have visiting Grandma's house. Playing marbles on your basement floor, learning to play billiards, and hosting all of your friends to a disco that I got to DJ! You had a great impact on my life and on how I am trying to raise my children.
Remembering your great life!
Your grandson, Dave
