Guenter M. Wandke, 81, of Oak Ridge North, passed away August 13, 2017.
He was born in Germany on December 13, 1936. He was married to Eleanor A. Wandke on September 2, 1966.
Guenter had a career in electrical maintenance and worked for 27 years at Ethyl Corporation under parent company: Albemarle of Virginia. He was a member of St. Jonah Orthodox Church, Ethyl Employees Credit Union, and Ethyl Retirees Club. Guenter loved to help people and tinker with things around the house. His passion was bowling and he carried a 200 average.
He was preceded in death by parents, Max and Marta Wandke; and sister, Viola.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Wandke.
A visitation will take place from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 16, in the Chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. There will be another visitation taking place on Thursday, August 17, at St. Jonah Orthodox Church, 2910 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring, Texas 77388 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 18, at St. Jonah Orthodox Church at 10:00 am. Immediately following the service, interment will take place at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery, with a reception following in our Event Room of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
