Jeffrey Alan Magee-McCain, 30, of The Woodlands, Texas, and formerly of Liberty, Texas, died early in the morning of Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston, Texas.
At his request, A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. this Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, The Woodlands, Texas.
All who loved, adored, and feel honored to have met this social butterfly are welcome. We will mix and mingle, Jeffrey-style, over informal drinks starting at 6 p.m. Then, we will dine together while paying respect and honoring his life with a collaboration of all of our most precious memories. All who wish to share a poem, story or speak on behalf of Jeffrey are welcome to do so.
Jeffrey was born October 2, 1984, in Irving, Texas to Michael Joseph Magee, of Wills Point, Texas, and Susan Elaine Taylor McCain, of Liberty, Texas. He graduated with top Honors at Liberty High School in 2002 and received a degree in Integrated Marketing and Communication from Abilene Christian University in 2006. He lived for several years in Dallas, where he worked in public relations and was a member of the Turtle Creek Chorale men's chorus, until he moved to The Woodlands in late 2010 to be with family.
He was known for being extraordinarily friendly to anyone he met and was no stranger to social events, whether volunteering, leading large groups in singing, raising money for charity, or dining out with his adored friends. He loved people, no matter their economic class, social status, religion, color, or sexuality; meeting and forming continuous bonds with the people he met was his passion in life. Any chance he could, he'd organize a social gathering of his friends. The love and adoration he had for his friends was immense.
Jeffrey is survived by his sisters: Alanna Magee-McCain Williamson, of The Woodlands, Bethany Sarah McCain, of Wichita Falls, Marina Magee-McCain Reindfliesh, of Cleveland, and Sara Katherine Nicole Magee, of Wills Point; brothers: Zachary David McCain, of Scotland and formally Archer City, Phillip Michael Magee, Steven George Magee, and James Patrick William Magee, of Wills Point; grandmother: Mary Jo McCain, of Liberty, formerly Wichita Falls; fathers: Michael Joseph Magee, of Wills Point, and Kelly David McCain, of Liberty; mothers: Susan Elaine Taylor McCain, of Liberty, and Beth Marie Magee, of Wills Point; nephew, Gavin Michael Williamson; nieces: Samantha Elaine McCain-Williamson, Amyah Rae Reindfliesh, Lylah Rose Reindfliesh; cousin: Mary Fae McCain; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents: George M. Magee of Houston, Gladys Waynell Magee Pickering of Knox County and David McCain of Wichita Falls; maternal grandparents: Jerry Maca and Mary Maca Taylor Tawwater, both of Dallas.
Floral arrangements may be delivered directly to the Marriott at 1601 Lake Robbins Dr., The Woodlands, Texas 77380, addressed to Jeffrey's Celebration of Life, and the hotel staff will convey appropriately to the Tuscany Banquet room the day of the Memorial.
Thank you to all of his best friends and sisters who helped make this special day of celebration possible.
