Memorial funeral services for Jim McDaniel, age 80, of Buffalo, Texas have been set for 4 PM, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Highway Tabernacle Church of God in Buffalo. The McDaniel family is being assisted by the Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home.
Jim McDaniel was born August 18, 1937 in Lott, Texas to Elije and Florence (Winterbough) McDaniel. He and his first wife (the mother of his sons) Martha McDaniel lived in Cleveland, Texas and raised their sons there. Jim owned and operated a Heating and Air Conditioning business for over 40 years. They eventually moved to Leon County near the Parker Cemetery about 26 years ago. Martha passed away in December 2002.
Jim married his second wife, Dorothy, in 2004. They faithfully attended the Highway Tabernacle Church of God. Beside his wife, Martha, Jim was preceded in death by his parents; all ten of his brothers and sisters and a young grandson, Michael Christopher McDaniel.
Jim is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Buffalo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Judy McDaniel of Kingwood and Steven and Trina McDaniel of Cleveland, Texas; grandchildren, Joni Perkins (Chris), Justin Mc-Daniel (Jenna), Megan McDaniel, Samuel Mc-Daniel, Abigail Mc-Daniel and Matilda Mc-Daniel and great grand-children, Donovan, Elaina, Dawson, Taylor, Connor, Liam and Alison. He is also survived by numerous step-children, step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the McDaniel family requests that donations be made to Highway Tabernacle Church of God, P.O. Box 185, Buffalo, Texas 75831.

The last of the siblings,I didn't know him very well but I do have fond memories of him while growing up. Although it has been a very long time, I actually think of him often. My condolences on the loss of Uncle Jimmy.
