Penelope "Penny" Lane Smith (3) born November 3, 2011 in Houston, TX to Derrick D. Smith and Cindy J. Sagan passed away May 27, 2015 with her family by her side after a courageous fight battling cancer. She is survived by her parents, Derrick D. Smith and Cindy Sagan; sister, Lucy Day Smith; grandparents, Connie Sagan, Johnny Sagan, and Lee Smith; great grandparents, Carol Mayes, Cora Mae Wingrove; best friends, Ava Garcia and Melodie Guerra; along with numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was 11-1pm on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Darst Funeral Home with a Reflection Service to share fond memories of Penny Lane to follow at 1pm. A celebration of life reception will take place immediately following in the Gardens at Darst Funeral Home.

I first met Penny at Texas Children's Hospital while visiting my Grand Daughter Ava during her treatment. Penny was a wonderful little girl who made us all smile. She will be missed.
