Ruth Carolyn Avery, surrounded by her family went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2015. She was born in Macon, Georgia on September 8, 1930. She married Lewis Hampton Avery on September 30, 1951. She is preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Jackie Sharon.
Surviving her are children, Timothy D. Avery (wife Ginger) of Greenville, SC, Donna Kay Avery Meyer (husband Herbert) of Nassau Bay, TX. and Nancy J. Avery of Humble, TX. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, Travis Meyer (wife Rachel) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL., Christopher Avery (wife Jessica) of Sugarland, TX, Whitney Laurel Meyer of Raleigh, NC, Clark Avery of Atlanta, GA, Captain Derek Meyer (wife Catherine) of Sanford, NC. and Logan Avery of Humble, TX. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, supportive grandmother and faithful friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Carolyn Avery Memorial Fund at First Baptist Church of Humble, 19901 Townsen Blvd, Humble, TX 77338.
