Dear Bob and family,
I am so sad to stumble upon this news about Ruby. Over the years I have missed her friendship. We were all so lucky to have her in our lives. She was an amazing woman and someone to not be forgotten. I have many fond memories of the time we spent together in Pasadena as neighbors. She helped me, hosted a baby shower for my first born daughter and we took a cake decorating class together. I loved her very much. The years have passed by so quickly. I am sending my condolences and love to you and your family.

I will always remember Ruby for all of her support of my efforts as the first woman president of the Rotary Club of Saginaw Sunrise when she was district governor in 2004-2005. She was always there for me with a warm smile and all of the support I needed to do anything. She was also great at giving hugs. Such a great spirit and a ray of sunlight that will be missed.

We will always remember and love Ruby. She was a woman of determination and had a passion to make the world a better place. Everything said here about her is true. And above all, she was kind. Rest in peace, Ruby.
And for Bob, her devoted husband and best Rotarian ever (without a pin), we know how much you are missing her. This photograph is a lovely one of both of you, It was taken at the Rotary District Gala in 2008.

We are greatly saddened to have lost a valuable colleague and friend. Ruby Iwamasa was proof positive that good guys can finish first and nice can be successful.
There are so many stories that we could share but what best personified Ruby to us was that Q-TV, her professional home named its most prestigious volunteer award after her. The reason for this was that she had received this award on so many occasions because of her extraordinary volunteer work - in excess of an incredible 80 hours a week. Since no other volunteer could come close to approaching this remarkable effort she was removed from consideration for future awards, but the honor would forever bear her name.
Like so many, we are better off for having known her. We are grateful to her wonderful husband, Bob, for the care that he always showed her.
We connected with Ruby through Q-Broadcasting, Rotary, and the Midland Center for the Arts and were witness to the profound impact she had on these institutions. Our community is a better place for the gift of herself that she bestowed.
Goodbye, Ruby. You will always be in our hearts and minds.

Bob I'm so sorry. Ruby was a great lady and did so much. Your pain was felt today by me when I felt the need to search for you.
You and your family are so awesome. Deepest condolences to you and yours.

Ruby, indeed, had many interests! I loved sharing our interest in pop-up books...not so much her love of TV wrestling. Glad she liked Adam Lambert and was able to see some concerts. She will be missed.
