I rarely saw Uncle Bill; but I have never forgotten that first summer when my parents took me to Houston to visit him. They had a big house with mirror walls in the living room and a pool that I thought was huge and a Beagle too. Wonderful memories.

We are never ready to lose a loved one
Never ready to let them go.
No matter if taken quickly
Or, by an illness that was slow.
What maters is that there is a void
That can never be filled again.
A missing laugh, a hug, a smile
Or that precocious grin.
He was a hero to his children
He taught them right from wrong.
Of course, they had their differences
But they never lasted long.
He didn't tell them how to live
He taught by the example he set
They learned from watching his daily life
All the lessons they needed to get.
He was A Christian first & foremost
His wife and family he adored.
He'll be there to greet you with a smile
When you reach that heavenly shore.
With deepest sympathy on your loss
