Michael Anthony Thonn
MOLINE - Michael Anthony Thonn, 76, of Moline passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Military rites will be conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #299. Memorials may be made to the family.
Mike was born on January 24, 1947, at St. Anthony's in Rock Island the son of Robert P. and Beverly Exbom Thonn. He married Pamela Hall on December 21, 1968, in East Moline.
Mike was a veteran of the United States Navy. He began his career with John Deere Harvester in quality control, he later moved on as an over the road truck driver and worked in the lab at Servus Rubber. Mike retired from John Deere Seeding in 2009. He enjoyed bowling, camping and playing computer games; he was also a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks.
Mike is survived by his wife, Pam; children, Jenny (John Weiland) Thonn of Altoona, Iowa and Andrew (Amber) Thonn of Columbia, South Carolina; grandchildren, Taylor Stone, Seth Thonn, Lauren Thonn and Johnny Weiland; Sister, Judy Thonn.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

Pam, I so sorry about Mike. I would have attended the visitation if I had of known before just now. I know you lost brother Clark just a few days ago and did not know that until after the services. You have my sympathy.
