Annie Wolf Obituary

Annie C. (Houp) Wolf, 92, Topton and formerly of Geigertown, where she was a resident for 53 years, died Nov. 3, 2006, at 1:15 a.m. of natural causes in The Lutheran Home at Topton.

She was the widow of G. Edward Wolf, who died in 1989.

Born in Earl Township on Jan. 1, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Araminda (Mathias) Houp.

She was a packer for Mrs. Smith’s Pies, Morgantown, for 18 years, prior to retiring.

Mrs. Wolf was a 1932 graduate of Oley Valley High School. She also attended the former McCann School of Business in Reading.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Oley.

She is survived by a son, Donald E. Wolf, Mohnton.

Other survivors include two sisters, G. Araminda Houp, Reading; and Regina Moyer, Earl Township.; and a brother, Lawrence Houp, Exeter Township.

There are also four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Bessie M. Rapp and Catherine V. Houp; and a brother, Paul M. Houp.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Salem United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Robert Witmyer officiating. Burial will be in Oley Union Cemetery, Oley. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the church.

Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund at Salem UCC, 307 Covered Bridge Road, Oley, PA 19547.

Blankenbiller Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Oley, is in charge of arrangements.
