Gail Anita Brown, daughter of Bishop Shadrack and the late Reverend Dr. Shirley G. Brown, was born April 10, 1960 in Suffolk, Va. On October 16, 2020, the Almighty God, in his infinite wisdom, called her home to join her mother. All those Gail knew and touched will miss her unassuming and ever powerful presence.

A memorial service will be Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Garden of Prayer #7 Church, 3101 Cove Rd. Roanoke, Va. Masks are required. Condolences may be sent to Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory.

To the Brown Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear about Gail's passing. I can only imagine the depth of your loss and the pain you must be feeling. My heart goes out to you during this challenging time. Gail's presence will be sorely missed, but her remarkable spirit will inspire us all.

The last time I saw her was in 2010; she was doing incredible things. Her kindness and unwavering compassion touched so many lives. Even in high school, she exuded grace and empathy, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Gail's profound love for her family and unwavering dedication to uplifting others were extraordinary. Her legacy of love and selflessness will continue to illuminate our lives.

May you find comfort in the treasured memories of her and the lasting impact she has had on all of us.
