March 31, 1946-July 26, 2017
Charles Martin Meyer passed away at his home in Santa Rosa on July 26th, 2017. Chuck, as he was known to friends, was born in Oakland on March 31st, 1946 and raised in San Francisco. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Meyer and Helen Meyer. Chuck is survived by his brother Peter Meyer (Ann) and his stepsister Leni Meyer Eccles (Marriner) as well as his three sons, Charles Meyer (Carly), William Meyer and Jack Meyer (Atoussa). He recently celebrated the birth of his first grandchild, Lucas Meyer. "The Babe" was known as a community oriented man and thoroughly enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He was a storyteller of great renown and had an amazing memory for details. He also inspired many tales through his own colorful escapades and all who knew him will long remember these stories. He was an avid sportsman in his youth. After graduating from Town School for Boys, he played football at Lowell High, rugby at the University of Oregon and his love of the mountains and skiing led him to move his family to Lake Tahoe in 1976, where he set up shop as a General Contractor building mountain homes. He moved to Santa Rosa in 1987, where he continued an active role in youth sports and after-school activities, including coaching and assisting with various Little League baseball teams and the Santa Rosa High School football team. In his later years, he enjoyed reading, gardening and a good coffee and donut at his favorite donut shop. He was beloved by his family and will be missed dearly. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Rick Bradley
September 10, 2017
My Mother and Father, Helen and Worthen Bradley were good friends with the Meyers.
I believe there home was in the Sea Cliff area and that Adolph was a CPA.
Enclosed is a photo from 1943.
My heart goes out to the family for the loss of Charles.
God Bless You, Rick Bradley
