LAKELAND - Barbara Anne Edds, 72, passed away due to heart failure Jan. 6, 2013.
Mrs. Edds was born in Miami on Nov. 5, 1940 to the late Frederick and
Audrey Hansen. She was an underwriter for State Farm at their Regional
Office for 33 years. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, and was
a beloved mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Edds is survived by her children, Greg (Kim) Edds, Scott (Stacey)
Edds and Caren (John) Baumann; sisters, Beverly Seanor, Martha and Susan
Hansen; grandchildren, Taylor, Lauren, Brandon, Brock, Grant, Ethan and
MacKenzie.
Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Thurs. at Heritage Baptist Church,
4202 Pipkin Creek Rd. Lakeland, with funeral services to follow at 11 am at the church. Interment will take place on Sat. at 2 pm in Toccoa, GA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Lakeland Christian School, 1111 Forest Park St., Lakeland, FL 33803.

Greg, Caren & Scott,
We have so many wonderful memories of living next door to “the Edds”. From the time we were wearing diapers to the time we entered our adult years, spending time with your family was such an intricate part of our “growing up” years; Memories that we will always cherish.
Your mom was a very special lady. And, having lost our mom as well, we know what a void it leaves.
Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.
Lean on God and your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about and loved.

Dear Greg,Scott & Caren:
During the years of working with your mother I remember first how important her children were to her. I don't think there was ever a conversation which did not include one or all of you. The other thing which comes to mind is her dedication to her job and how she was always willing to mentor those with less experience. She will be missed, but we have the assurance we will see her again. Our prayers go out to the whole family.
