OWENS, 64

ARCHER, FL. - Mac A Owens, 64, went to be with the Lord, after a short battle with leukemia (AML), Tuesday May 18, 2010 @ his residence in Archer, Florida.
He was a Vietnam veteran, retired Publix truck driver of 20 years, and owner of MacDaddy's Tavern.
He is survived by his longtime friend and soul-mate, Velvet Huffmaster; his loving family: brothers, Jessee Owens (Dean) of Sarasota, FL., James Owens of Niceville, FL.; sisters Mildred Leslie(Bill) of Riverside, CA., and Cecilia Butler (Richard) of Niceville, Florida.
There will be a memorial service held on May 30, 2010 between 1-3 pm at the Lakeland American Legion on Ariana Street.

Mac, I know you are enjoying singing with the Angels. I know my Mother( Wee- Wee) is right there in the front row, she loves to sing.I can just see the two of you, Mom tapping her foot and smiling as you play and now she can sing with you.Give each other a hug for us all.
