Ciro Michael Robustelli

1928 - 2024

ROBUSTELLI, Ciro Michael, Ciro Robustelli, aged 95, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024, in Staunton, Virginia. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on June 27, 1928 to Anthony and Carmella Robustelli. He is predeceased by his beautiful Maria Robustelli and survived by his daughters Karen (Carey) Dolan and Kathleen (Fred) Garcia, six grandchildren, Conor (Nicole) Dolan, Meghan (Strother) Roberts, Stephanie (William) Angle, Rachel Dolan, Brendan Cunningham, and Olivia (Kendall) Wolfe, and five great grandchildren, Cruz Dolan, Samantha Angle, Ciro Roberts, Hugo Roberts, and Harley Dolan.

Ciro went to the prestigious Brooklyn Prep high school and completed his engineering degree from Cooper Union in 1963, while working and raising two daughters. He lived a full life, with homes in New York, Connecticut, California, and Virginia. He and Maria were fortunate to have traveled all over the world. They mastered ballroom dancing and especially loved to Tango.

After retiring, Ciro took up painting and his artwork now graces the homes of every member of his family and many friends with his trademark "Ciro" signature. Painting was a creative outlet for Ciro, who also enjoyed photography, cooking, and baking. Ciro leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, faith, and kindness and will be remembered for his cheerful nature, always with a smile and a song. He spent the last three years at Brookdale Senior Living in Staunton, Virginia, where he was treated with kindness and dignity by the staff. His family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Brookdale as well as the Hospice of the Shenandoah.
