Hey Patrick,
Well what can I say about this past year. It's been extremely long for many of us. We miss you daily but know you are truly happy in the presence of the Lord. I myself too know that you've been with Sarah and the rest of your family daily. Your Spirit is ever with us all. In the quiet still moments and in the special moments. I know you were smiling and laughing this past Halloween. Your two little troopers were so cute and your little Patrick or as Leigha calls him Holdey was so cute as a frog. He looks so much like you !! And Leigha was precious and perfect as a Ladybug !! You are certainly missed and shall forever will be till we all meet you again on that glorious day !! By the way look up my mom and dad they would be your great grand parents. Paul and Jerry Keener and mom's a very good cook.. they would love meeting you.
Sarah is hanging in there. Some times much harder than others but her Love for you and especially for the Lord is helping her through. You I know are very proud of her and you definitely have the right to be. I will miss you over the holidays you were always the quiet but yet loving spirit during those times. And take time to remember and laugh about the holiday of the dog fiasco !! I still laugh when I think of it. I swear it was the only time I ever saw you get emotional. What a man you were that day and forever will be. I love my time at Island View..I've joined the church and what an awesome family. Thanks for that first ride to the church. You were my first connection so thanks so much !! Well you have a great time we will see you again when the trumpet sounds !!
Love Aunt Wanda

Patrick, you were the love of my life. Not only did you complete me, but you made me a better person. I will always thank God for you. You brought me to Christ, showed me the deepest love I've ever known, and gave me two amazing gifts from God; Leigha and a baby on the way. When I cry, it's not because I worry about you. I cry for the hole that's left in my heart and for our children. All you ever wanted was to be a Godly husband and father. One day the Lord will reunite us and it will be AMAZING. Can you imagine it? I get excited just thinking about the possibilities. I believe your death was an accident; forseen by God but not want He wanted for you. I believe in our next life you will get a second chance at missed opportunities, and ever better, unlimitied time with the ones you love. God is so good.
You'd be happy to know that your family is holding on tight to each other during this difficult time. Because of your death, we are probably better people. We are definitely blessed to have had you for the short while that we did.

I was privileged to call Patrick a close friend from the time we were babies until the Harrells moved to FL when we were 10. My grandparents lived just beyond the woods from the Harrells and whenever I visited Rich Square I always tried to see Patrick and hang out with him. I hurt because I thought he and I would always cross paths again, but I suppose that was not to be. I always thought highly of Patrick and am so grateful we were able to be friends, he will be missed.
Sarah and Leigha, You do not know me but you must be wonderful to be Patrick's family. How great it is to see hand hear what a great man he has become. I would like one day to meet you and share some great stories. My sincerest condolences to you all, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Ronnie, Canara, and Aaron, it has been those long years since I have seen you all as well and I send my condolences to the 3 of you. Thank you so much for sharing Patrick with the world. I am so sorry and I will think of you all the time.
To all of his family. Be strong for God has reason in everything he does, and Patrick will watch over all of you and one glorious day you will see him again

Sarah and family -
Patrick taught me a lot of what it means to be a man, and his impact on me will continue to live itself out. I'm sure there are many others in the same way.
Every time I treat a person with kindness, hold a door for a stranger or give an encouraging word, I will be following the example he set as a friend and leader.
May the peace that passes understanding guard your hearts in this difficult time. May God give each of you strength to fill such a huge void in the life of his kids. And, ultimately, may your eternity be filled with eternal and unspeakable joy when you are reunited with him in heaven. Oh what a glad day that will be.

My dear sweet Sarah and Leigha , words are hard to find at this time for your recent loss. Though I may have never expressed it I was so impressed at the love, protection, and care shown by Patrick to you his family. He was such a proud papa. And his love for you, his parents, and everyone else was so Christ like. He truly understood I believe what Christ means when He spoke as to husbands loving their wives, as Christ loves His Church. May our prayers, thoughts, and our words, bring forth a sense of peace to you and his family at this time and for the years to come. You only have to look into the eyes of your precious Leigha to see Patrick's love. I am here for you whenever you need me. I love you all so much.

We were saddened to hear about Patrick. Our hearts go out to you in your time of need with compassion, love and friendship.
Although I have only known Patrick personally for a few short years, I know he was a giving and generous soul. Patrick sang in the chior at church and tried to never miss a Sunday. He was very faithful in all that he did. He always had a smile on his face and said hi when you saw him. Patrick and Sarah came to the rescue when I needed families to host boys from China with an EF - Extended Homestay Progam in August 2009. I had contacted Sarah about hosting a student and she mentioned it to Patrick who said not only Yes, but we have room for two - this was such a blessing to me to be able to place two boys that day in a wonderful home. I know he was a great example for the boys as they really enjoyed church, playing with Leigha and learning about American culture and lifestyle. Although Patrick was very busy with work and family he always gave 100% to these boys and made a lasting impression on them.
Sarah, thank you for your friendship, support for EF and wonderful attitude toward life, in general. If you need anything just call.
God Bless you -

Sarah, just remember Patrick will always be with you in spirit. I saw this poem and thought of you today...
"Don’t cry for me, I am not gone, but simply sing a different song. You’ll find me where the flowers grow, in each spring breeze or gentl...e snow, in every newborn baby’s cry or drifting summer clouds on high. From quiet wood to crystal brook, I’ll be everywhere you look. Transformed by God and now at peace, and filled with love to never cease, my quest to always fill your heart, with endless joy while we’re apart. So shed no tear, nor grief prolong, don’t cry for me, I am not gone."
