Michael Edward Cofer, 59, of Orange Park, FL passed away at home December 10, 2025. He was born on July 15, 1966 at Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida while his late father, Ruben Cofer, proudly served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his beloved mother, Barbara J Cofer.
Michael was a proud graduate of Orange Park High School. He attended Raider football games every Friday night for many years. He was a proud fan of all Raider athletics. Michael enjoyed watching all sports especially NASCAR and Georgia Bulldog football. If you saw Michael, you likely saw him with a UGA baseball hat on his head.
Michael was a proud member of the Orange Park Mason Lodge 267. He had served on the advisory council for the Orange Park Order of the DeMolay accepting his perpetual membership on May 17, 2000. He served his Mason brothers well by his actions in life. Michael has never met a stranger. He was nicknamed the "Mayor of Gumtree Dr" for his friendliness to neighbors. He was honest and loyal to his neighbors and Mason brothers but above all he loved his parents deeply. His mother became his entire world after his father passed in April 2012.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
