PAUL EMIL RYDELL
On Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Beloved husband of Anne Arthur Rydell and the late Margarette Anne "Peggy" Brooks and Sylvia Brothers Sniffin; father of Nancy Rydell Richardson of Menlo Park, CA, Robin Rydell (Michael) Black of Columbia, MD, John Paul Rydell (Sharon Owrutsky) of Reisterstown, MD; grandfather of Sarah Katherine Black (Bill) MacCormack of Eldersburg, MD and Rachel Black (AJ) Machosky of Chicago, IL; great-grandfather of Caelan Vaughn and Leah Caroline MacCormack. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 20 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Baywoods of Annapolis, 7101 Bay Front Dr., Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial scholarship contributions, in memory of Paul E. Rydell, may be made to the University of Maryland Alumni Association, 7801 Alumni Dr., College Park, MD 20742 for the Brick Campaign. Online condolences may be made at:www.KalasFuneralHomes.com

Many memories come to mind. As a child growing up next to the Rydells, he was a wonderful example of a Christian man. One of my favorite memories is the summer evenings in the backyard on Beechwood Road, playing softball. A bunch of girls! Mr. Rydell was the pitcher, the coach, and the ringleader! All I know about baseball comes from those years!
