Jill D. Broome

WRIGHTSVILLE Jill D. (Vollmer) Broome, 51, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Jacque W. Broome, to whom she was married 15 years on June 1, 2011. Jill graduated from Millersville University and worked as a merchandising and market manager for York Building Products. Born October 8, 1960, in Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of William E., Jr. and June K. (Sleeman) Vollmer, of Berwyn. Jill was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Columbia. In addition to her husband and parents, she will be lovingly missed by one daughter, Sarah D. Broome at home; two stepdaughters, Rebecca S. and Samantha R. Broome, both of Brownstown; and her father-in-law, Jack G. Broome of Lancaster Jill's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 23 S. 6th St., Columbia 17512, on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Mary Anne Kingsborough officiating. Private interment will be in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, Millersville.
