While thinking of Suzanne, as I always do and our approaching "60th" birthdays, I only recently learned of her passing. Even though we were living on opposite sides of the U.S., myself in California and Sue in Virginia, we kept in touch, be it at Christmastime, on our birthdays and more. I had the privilege of meeting Suzanne while at ASU and we shared so many wonderful memories of our time there. I was her "suite mate" for one of those years, and have to say, it was the best time of my life! I agree, she was a humble, gentle and caring person and if she was proud of any accomplishment in her life, it was Jeffrey. It's not that often we meet remarkable people like Suzanne. I will always cherish the time I got to spend with her and will now keep her memory ever so close to my heart.
My deepest sympathy to Jeffrey and the Humphlett family.

I miss Suzanne immensely. I only knew her for a relatively short period of time, but it felt like we had a lifelong friendship. She was one of those rare individuals that can make you laugh when you least expect it. She had such tenacity and conviction, but also a wonderful sense of humor. There was always a gentle and calm sense about her. Suzanne taught me that life isn't fair but that's never the end of the story. There is always a new chapter to write in our individual stories. Suzanne positively touched the lives of so many people in so many ways. Her spirit lives on forever in us. It was an honor to be her friend. My sincere condolences to her son Jeffrey and her family. My most sincere condolences to the Humphlett and Raileanu families, especially Jeffrey. Suzanne was always so very, very proud of her son. I worked closely with her and found her to be such a lovely and witty person with a brilliantly creative side. I will always remember her that way.
