I was fortunate to work with Bill at WKSU in the 1980s. He was the sort of person most of us get to meet only a few times in our lives - proudly, joyously unique, with something to teach anyone who was ready to learn.
Whether it was radio or engineering or friendship or just taking life with the right attitude, Bill made everyone he knew a better person.

We all wish we could have kept him longer, but the world Uncle Bill left behind is immeasurably better for the time he and we got.

Bravo, Bill, and bon voyage.

Bill- part of what keeps someone alive is all of the memories everyone carries in their hearts. You are the kind of person that will stay with us every single day by those that love you and you will always be with us because you touched so many of our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with all of your family and friends. May you rest peacefully, Lisa

Bill - Yours will be big shoes to fill, from both a professional and personal standpoint. I will miss your unique way of communicating (always direct and to the point) and most of all our shared perspective coming from the same "time" and roots (NY). Rest in peace, my friend....you will be sorely missed......Laura

To my dear brother Bill. I will miss you dearly. Now that I know you are no longer in pain & resting peacefully, I have come to closure. Of course, I will always ask "why" were you chosen not to live. You had so much to offer. You will always be in my prayers.
RIP

UB... we will miss you very much. You did so many wonderful things during your time and I'm sure you'll be managing/improving the airwaves of the radio station in the sky and also upgrade the bandwidth so we might hear you in our ears down here once in a while! :-)

Love,
Jay
