Laura Leston, of Scott Township, Pennsylvania, and formerly Manhattan, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2023. She passes away after a long struggle with illness. Laura was an MBA graduate from the Katz School of Business of the University of Pittsburgh. Laura also received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the same University. She combined her finely honed skills in business technology and the arts to the benefit of her employers, clients and friends during her long career in the financial industry in Pittsburgh and New York.
Laura is survived by her brother, Jeff Leston, his wife Jane (Michner), and Laura’s beloved twin niece and nephew Adam and Joanna Leston. She is also survived by her cousin Karen Baskin, Kathy Baskin and Erin (Courtney) Robinson and other family in Pennsylvania, New York and California. She is predeceased by her parents, Gerd and Gloria Leston, and her near-twin cousin Steven Baskin.
Funeral arrangements will be private. The family asks that donations be made in Laura‘s memory to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America or other charity of their choice. Arrangements entrusted to WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, Scott Township (412-563-2800).
