Mrs. Tammy Lynn Hofstra, 59 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at her home on November 13, 2023. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 10, 1964 to Donald and Bernice (Harms) Clarke. She married her husband, Jarett Hofstra on August 3, 2002 and together the couple celebrated 21 years of marriage before her passing. Tammy was a licensed barber and worked as a cosmetologist at Images Salon in Lewiston. She was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a past member of the Garden Club. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed trips to the Upper Peninsula, waterfalls, hiking, camping, and going for walks. Tammy loved animals and adored her dog, Pixie. She also enjoyed listening to music. She was very family oriented and always smiling. Tammy will be deeply missed by both family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jarett Hofstra; son, Sean (Emma Wojan) Hofstra both of Lewiston; mother, Bernice Clarke of Clinton Township; sisters, Audrey Clarke of Chesterfield Township; Debbie (Paul) Drettmann of Clinton Township; best friend, Karen Brooks of Lewiston; special aunt, Sharon Harms of Clinton Township; special cousin, Teresa Eiben of Sterling Heights; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of her life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. A luncheon will be provided following services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Tammy to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3805 County Rd 612, Lewiston, Michigan 49756 or the Woman’s Resource Center, 1030 S.
