Albertina L. Rebelo

Albertina Rebelo, 86, of Falmouth, MA passed away peacefully on January 11, 2023.
Born in Santa Barbara, Terceira on April 17, 1936, Albertina lived with her parents, sister and two brothers. Growing up, she tended to her home and her family's needs.
Later, on the island of Terceira, Albertina met the love of her life, her husband Herculano. The two were married for over 50 years. They raised two children together and immigrated to the US in 1969 for a better future. Albertina worked hard in different jobs to create a beautiful life and home with her husband and for her family.
Albertina lived generously and to take care of others. After raising her own children, she played a major role in bringing up her granddaughters. Her favorite way to show her love and care was to cook. Her favorite line was, "Queres Mais?"
When she wasn't cooking for others, Albertina loved eating out for breakfast and bringing home extra jelly packets in her purse. Albertina also enjoyed watching RTP, shopping, sweet treats, going for walks, gardening, cleaning, strong perfumes and catching up with her friends for coffee or on the phone. She celebrated her Azorean culture as a member of the Fresh Pond Holy Ghost Society and was a communicant of St. Anthony's church.
Albertina was met by her beloved husband, Herculano Rebelo, her parents, siblings and other close family members. She leaves behind a daughter, Maria Vidal and a son, Joseph Rebelo and his wife Melinda; two granddaughters Katrina (Vidal) Fallon and Kristan Vidal; and a great granddaughter, her "amor", Althea Fallon; all of Falmouth. She also leaves behind many dear friends and relatives.
Visiting Hours will be Tuesday, January 17 from 9-10 AM at Chapman, Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main St, Falmouth Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony's Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy, East Falmouth with a Cemetery Burial to follow.
