Ms. Barb, Barbara Jean and Grandma Barbara Jean were a few of the names that she was respectfully called by those who knew and loved her. Ms. Barb was a true pillar of the Crawford Village community in McKeesport. Chances are, if you traveled through Crawford Village, you saw her with her distinct hair color, walking with her favorite drink, Pepsi, in hand. She was always running many errands for others & lending her ear to whomever wanted to talk along the way.
"No" was a word that was not in Ms. Barb's vocabulary. She truly enjoyed helping others and holding a conversation with everyone who crossed her path. Those who have met Ms. Barb have always described her as "one of the nicest, kind-hearted people" they have ever met. Barbara departed this life on October 17, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family at UPMC McKeesport Hospital, in McKeesport. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Raymond Elliott, and brothers, John (Mike), Larry (Joe), Robert Lee (Bob)
Barbara is survived by her loving children; sons, Terry Elliott, Daryl Elliott, James Elliott, Lionel Elliott, and Derrick Elliott; daughters, Monique and Pearl Elliott; 15 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Terrez, Kingston, Alexus, Saraya, Raquan, Alexis, Keyshawn, Jayvin, Jacoby, Arabella, Raymont, Amya, Lionel, Jr, De'Aira; siblings, Mary Lou, Jim (Donna), Kathy, Alisha (Joe), Nora (Libby), and Joyce; host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Ms. Barb will truly be missed by her children, family, friends and the Crawford Village community.
