Brenda Glover Robertson

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Brenda Glover Robertson, a beloved mother, sister and friend. Brenda passed away on October 23, 2023 at 77 years of age.
Brenda was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas October 21, 1946 and spent much of her life in Mississippi. She attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and University of Mississippi, where she graduated with honors and later served as the director of the Ole Miss writing center for many years. Brenda loved her work with students and was known for her unwavering dedication to their success.
In addition to her work at Ole Miss, Brenda was a devoted mother to her two sons, David and Walter. Although Walter passed away before her, Brenda remained a loving mother to him throughout her life. Brenda was also a devoted pet owner and was especially fond of her beloved dog, Harry.
Survivors include her son, David Robertson (Catherine); her sisters, Cindy Glover Slaughter and Julia Glover May (Todd); her granddaughter, Eden Robertson; and lifetime friend, Ellen Stern.
She will be missed by all who knew her, including her colleagues at Ole Miss and the countless students whose lives she touched. Brenda's passing is a great loss to the community, and she will always be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and pets. May she rest in peace.
