David Glenn Faulkenham, 58, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl A. (Gelinas) Faulkenham with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.
He was born in Medford on August 11, 1965, and was the son of the late Donald G. and Ruby L. (Joudrey) Faulkenham.
Dave was raised in Chelmsford. He attended Chelmsford schools and went to high school at Nashoba Valley Technical High School in Westford, graduating in 1983. He began his plumbing career working for Bigelow Plumbing out of Shirley, MA. In 1998 he started his own plumbing business which became very successful. He had many loyal customers. During this time, he continued on with his education earning him his Master Plumbing License. He was also the Assistant Plumbing Inspector for the Town of Chelmsford.
Dave adored his children. He spent countless hours watching them either on the basketball court, the softball field, or the baseball field. You could always find him in the backyard playing catch. He enjoyed yearly vacations to Nova Scotia to visit extended family. He also enjoyed weekend outings to Nantucket visiting special friends. His favorite activity was snowmobiling. He spent many weekends during the winter months with his snowmobiling family who will miss him terribly.
Dave loved to tinker with things and could fix anything. You would often find him in his garage working on his lawn mower, snow blower or anything else he could get his hands on. He especially loved working on his 1970 Chevelle and oftentimes you would see him driving it around town with the biggest smile on his face. This was his most treasured possession.
In addition to his loving wife, David leaves his children, Amanda and Jacob of Chelmsford; his brother, Rick Faulkenham of Lowell, his sister, Debbie Silver of Nova Scotia, Canada, his "like a sister", Diane MacLean and her husband Cameron of Nova Scotia, his niece Brittany Silver and her fiancé Alex of Nova Scotia, and his great nephew and great niece Maddax and Mari both of Nova Scotia. Dave also leaves his mother and father-in-law, Donna and John Gelinas of Westford, along with many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Faulkenham family would like to thank Dr. Sarah Nikiforow, Dr. Ann LaCasce and Dr. Cynthia Hahn for their wisdom, support, and care.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.
