Of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the age of 72. Ella was born on July 18, 1950 the daughter of Silas and Lula (Smith) Bennett in New Castle, Indiana. She worked for East Lansing Health Care Center for several years and retired in 2012. Ella enjoyed going to garage sales, rides in the country, playing cards, bingo and taking trips to the casino. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she loved hosting BBQ's and family gatherings, cherishing those special moments with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also very generous and routinely gave to charities that supported children or children's issues.
Ella is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank Wiborn; son, Phillip Black; brothers, Jim, Michael and Tony Bennett; sisters, Barbara Bennett, Beverly Brown and Phyllis Brummett.
Surviving is her daughter, Kimberly (Wendy) Black of Lansing; son, Brian Godby of Lansing; grandchildren, Samantha (Derek) Thick of Linden, Aaron Black of Morehead, Kentucky, Heather Black of Morehead, Kentucky, Megan (Danial) May of Morehead, Kentucky; great grandchildren, Zylie, Guage, Kaitlyn, Colton, Gunner; sister, June Bennett and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held for Ella at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots or the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Ella. To share memories or leave condolences please visit www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com
