Joel Olvera Perez

Joel Olvera Pérez of Uvalde passed away on March 19, 2023, at his residence at the age of 59.
He was born on April 2, 1963, in Uvalde, Texas to Sara (Olvera) and Manuel Pérez.
He married Yolanda Risa in Uvalde on July 10, 1982.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years of Uvalde; his mother, Sara Olvera Pérez of Uvalde; daughter, Monica Pérez Padilla of San Antonio; two sons, Joel Pérez, Jr. of San Antonio and Ricardo Pérez of Uvalde; six sisters, Elvia Peréz of San Antonio, Sonia Galvan of Southlake, Celina Pérez, Judy Solis both of San Antonio, Carla Pérez of Kingsbury and Sara Pérez of Uvalde; three brothers, Heraldo Pérez of Boerne, Javier Pérez of Mission and Manolo Pérez of Mission; five grandchildren, Ricardo Pérez, Jr., Champ Alexander Pérez, Joel Camilo Pérez. Mia Teresa Pérez, and Karina Monica Pérez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Pérez and daughter, Amanda Jae Pérez.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 1 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Joel Pérez, Jr., Ricardo Pérez, Randy Padilla, Joel Camilo Pérez, Ricardo Pérez, Jr., and Champ Alexander Pérez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Manolo Pérez, Javier Pérez, Heraldo Pérez, and Enrique Tovar.
