Memorial service for Johnny will be held at Sevier Funeral Home chapel on Thursday, January 26th, 2023, at 2:00 pm under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
Johnny DeWayne Wilson was born on September 11, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Johnny and Dovie (Epperson) Wilson. He passed away January 19, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He grew up in Oklahoma City until the 7th grade when his family moved to Verden, where he graduated and met the love of his life. Johnny was a junior and Deborah was a sophomore. After graduation they were joined in holy matrimony in 1977 at the First Baptist Church in Verden. To this union they were blessed with two precious boys. After graduation he joined the Army where he served for four years and was stationed in Bamburg, Germany as an Army Ranger. After leaving the military he returned to Verden.
Johnny and Deborah raised their family in Verden from 1980-1990 and then moved to Alex, Oklahoma. Johnny was a hard worker and dedicated 21 years to Delta Faucet. He then worked for Mustang Public Schools until he retired in 2018. They moved to Mustang in 2011 where he lived for the remainder of his life. Johnny loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, swimming, riding motorcycles, water skiing, golfing, playing with his grandchildren and constantly bragging about them. He was a huge fan of old country westerns and anything sci-fi.
He is preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Fran Wilson; his birth mother Dovie (Epperson) Wilson; and brother Philip Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Wilson; his sons Merian "Ryan" Wilson and wife Angela, Derek Wilson and wife Amber, and bonus son Chris Conder; grandchildren Jacob Wilson and wife Dahlly, Kayla Wilson, Madison Wilson, Amrek Wilson and Drake Wilson; great-grandson Haydn Wilson and two great-granddaughters on their way; his sisters Jeannie Douglas and Cheri Jacobs; his brother Tommy Wilson; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
