Pamela "Pam" Jean VanWormer of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectedly at her home with her family at her side on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. She was 69 years old. Pamela Jean Wendt was born on September 15, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Donald E. and Beatrice A. (Prueter) Wendt. She was a graduate of Saginaw High School, and following graduation, Pam attended Delta College for a few semesters. She was married to her former spouse, James Floyd VanWormer, and from union had four beautiful children. Pam was employed with J.C Penney in Saginaw; retiring with over 35 years of loyal and dedicated service. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and shopping, especially on Amazon. Pam also enjoyed tending to her plants, baking, as well as collecting cookbooks and watching cooking programs. Above all, she treasured and cherished her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and beloved dogs: Chewy and Bella.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter and six grandchildren: David VanWormer and his daughter, Angela of Okinawa, Japan; Corey VanWormer and his children, Dominick and Malayah of Saginaw; Kara VanWormer and her husband, Jack Campbell, and their children, Alexa, Alicia, and Julian of Saginaw; brother, Roger (Lola) Wendt of Millington; sister, Susan (Edward) Masters of Spaulding Township; sister-in-law, Janet Wendt of Bay City. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Floyd VanWormer II; brother, Thomas Wendt; former spouse, James VanWormer; and her parents, Donald and Beatrice Wendt.
Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Honoring Pam's wishes cremation will follow the visitation.
