Sammy Sandoval Obituary
He was a Vietnam Veteran who served proudly in the United States Army. After he returned from serving his country he worked and retired from the phone company as a lineman and cable repairman for 30+ years.
Sammy enjoyed outdoor activities especially fishing, some of his favorite places to go were Tingly Beach and Bluewater Lake where he spent a lot of time fishing with friends and family members. Sammy also had a big and caring heart; his house was filled with his many cats and dogs that he loved dearly. He always had his companion Snoopy everywhere he went. They will now be united for eternity.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Joe and Lupe Sandoval. He is survived by his life partner of 40+ yrs. Denise Cleavinger, daughter: Tanya Sandoval and Husband Kota, daughter: Shawron Mattingly and husband Bart, grandchildren: Drew, Starla, and Joseph, sister: JoAnn Tijerina, brother: Albert Sandoval and wife Maggi, sister: Cindy Candelaria and husband Walter and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He will have an honorary military burial and service Friday April 7th, 2023, 1:30 PM at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Reception to follow.
Sammy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
