William Harvey "Bill" Greening, age , of 75, died at his home on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

He was born July 27, 1947, in Green Bay, WI, the son of Harvey and Suzanne Barclay Greening. Bill attended St. Michael Catholic Grade School and was a 1965 graduate of Berlin High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Talladega during Vietnam from 1965-1969, receiving four bronze stars.

Bill worked with his brothers, Don and Joe, at Greenings their grocery store in Berlin. He joined the business in 1973 and operated the bakery at Greenings United Foods until he retired in 2004. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Wells-Krause VFW Post #2925, O'Connor-Chiers American Legion Post #340 and Fr. Fiss Council #1547 Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his daughter, ChrisAnn Greening; son, Wayne Greening; granddaughter, Abigail Farnsworth; brother, Don Greening; sister-in-law, Nel Greening; and nieces and nephews, Scott (Tammy) Greening, Heidi (Chris) Brown, Dawn (Frank) Hacker and Tim (Brandi) Greening. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Greening; and nephew, Brent Greening.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, December 23, at 10:30 a.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, Father John Silva officiating. Military honors will be performed immediately following the services at the funeral chapel by Wells-Krause VFW Post #2925. Inurnment will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery at a later date. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 22, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, and on Friday at the funeral chapel from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Anyone wishing to send a sympathy card to the family, please mail to William Greening, c/o Barbola Funeral Chapel, PO Box 201, Berlin, WI 54923.
