William Robert Martin, 70, passed away on April 20, 2024 at his home in Ingleside, IL. He leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Born on July 26, 1953, in Chicago, IL. In his career, William spent over two decades working in commercial bakery production and sanitation. Following that, he transitioned to retail management where he dedicated another 20 years of his life. Upon retiring, he found joy in activities such as riding with his motorcycle club, the Wild Frogs and fostering dogs for Paws and Affect Animal Rescue. He cherished moments spent with his children and grandchildren, and loved using his smoker to cook delicious meals for his loved ones.

He is survived by his children: Jeffrey James Martin of Fox Lake, IL and Jenni Marie Martin of Ingleside, IL; his grandchildren: Chase Martin and Carter Martin; and his siblings: Patrick (Tina) Martin of McHenry, IL and Anne Garcia of Rockford, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Michael and Lorene Martin; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Bill and I were childhood friends on Mason Avenue in Chicago. We reconnected last year along with our friend Jim Curtin. We hadn´t seen each other in 50 years and after catching up on each other´s lives it was like no time had passed. My sincere condolences to the Martin family as you well know your Dad, brother and grandfather was a really good man. Rest in Peace Billy.
