She attended Conroe High School and later Scott and White School of Nursing in Temple, Texas, where she graduated as a RN. While attending Scott and White University, she met and fell in love with a young Army Private based out of Fort Hood. After retiring from Conroe ISD, she became a tax preparer for H&R Block for 16 years. Jean loved being a nurse and preparing taxes.
She also loved being a mother. When the Lord said go forth and multiply, Ken and Jean took it to heart and welcomed four children, Teresa Eddings Peterson, Kenneth Layne Eddings, James Ray Eddings and Michael Scott Eddings.
