Sandra Lynn Pafford Joyner, age 82, resident of Eads, Tennessee and wife of the late James F. Joyner, Jr., departed this life Sunday morning, June 15, 2025 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville, Tennessee.
Sandra was born January 26, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late John A. Pafford and Helen Jean Bradford Pafford. She graduated from Kingsbury High School in Memphis Class of 1961 and was married in September of 1962 to James F. Joyner, Jr. who preceded her in death. She was a member of Highland Heights Presbyterian Church in Cordova, Tennessee and enjoyed genealogy, working in the yard, fishing and cross stitching. Sandra was a Breast Cancer Survivor.
Mrs. Joyner is survived by four sons, James Joyner III (Susan) of Hickory Withe, TN, David Joyner (Leslie) of Hickory Withe, TN, Greg Joyner (Darlene) of Maryville, TN and Matthew Joyner (Patricia) of Oakland, TN; her sister, Lisa Cole (Rick) of Germantown, TN; her brother, John Pafford (Debbie) of Rogersville, AL; six grandchildren, Corey Joyner (Katie), Zachary Joyner, Austin Joyner, Nicholas Joyner (Olivia), Nathan Joyner and Paige Eubanks (Jamie); and her great-granddaughter, Nori Joyner.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pam Pafford Smith and her brother, Michael Pafford, Sr.
A visitation for Mrs. Joyner will be from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Graveside Services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis with Bro. David Price of Garland Baptist Church, officiating.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Corey Joyner, Zachary Joyner, Austin Joyner, Nicholas Joyner, Nathan Joyner and Paige Eubanks.
