Shane Haddox Obituary

Jeffrey Shane Haddox went home to be with Jesus on July 3, 2021. Shane lost his battle with liver disease but won the final victory.

Shane had a big heart, loved his family and friends and loved football and his beloved Houston Astros. Some of his fondest memories were his high school days with his buddies and playing football at McCullough High. Shane, along with his son Caleb and his Dad, spent many years going to spring training with the Astros. He loved working with his Dad and going on business trips and seeing his customers and friends at trade shows and conferences. He loved his Mom and knew she would always be there for him. Even at age 44, if he got sick, he didn't call the doctor, he called Mom. His children were his pride and joy and he loved them so much.

After graduating from McCullough High , Shane attended Blinn College, Lone Star College and Sam Houston State University. He entered the workforce after Sam Houston State and spent his last 15 years as a Project Manager and Estimator at PLS Construction, Inc.

Shane was born February 19, 1977, in Sherman, TX to Robert and Susan Haddox. Shane is survived by son Caleb and daughter Padyn of Dripping Springs, TX and daughter London of Conroe, TX, brothers Kevin and Steve Haddox and sister Dana May of Foxworth, MS, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He loved going to the Haddox family dinner in Mississippi every year to see all those uncles, aunts and cousins. Shane was preceded in death by grandparents Forrest and Alberta Haddox and grandparents E.J. and Shirley "Nanny" Birchfield and his beloved brother Chris, who was at Heaven's gate with his arms wide open, saying " Welcome home, I missed you Shane".

The family wants to thank entire staff at The Woodlands Methodist and Houston Methodist hospitals for excellent care and for being so kind and compassionate over the last year.

Visitation will be held at Metcalf Funeral Home in Conroe, TX on - Tuesday July 6, 2021 from 6-8 PM.

Dear Susan and Robert,
I was unaware of Shane's death until yesterday. I'm sorry I missed a chance to
be there for Shane and you.
The picture you posted of Shane is perfect.
The last time I visited with Shane was when he and a couple other buddies came to California to visit my son. He shared stories of his children and other things he was up to.
Sitting around the table with
the boys from High School made for entertainment and laughter. It's beyond words to think that two of those boys
have gone too soon. I know personally that both of them are with The Lord.
Shane will not be forgotten, always missed and thoughts of him will make me smile.
With love in Christ, our hope.
